Become comfortable with product knowledge when tackling spills or maintenance, with safety as top priority at all times.
Understand working with absorbents on a daily basis - how to get the best from the materials, how to access them, and where to reorder from.
Recognise what you can and can’t deal with – spills need swift response, but you must understand the dos and don’ts.
Understanding ‘Spill Procedures’ - what is expected for spill response from minor to major situations and where you might fit into these procedures.
Step by Step actions to a spill - no two spills are the same but having a defined approach will help you remain safe and get a speedy clean-up operation underway.
Putting your training into practise - with regular spill drill exercises so your skill set remains constant with reference to the Fentex S.T.A.R. Training Manual for information and guidance.
Taking responsibility to replenish spill kits or dispensing stations at your department or maybe overall at your workplace.
